Random February Fun

This was the winter that wouldn't end. Whenever we could, we played outside. When that wasn't possible, there is no shortage of things to do in DC.

Recording Fun - Zoe

There is a local group called Mother's of North Arlington, and they sponsor programs from time to time that I wouldn't have thought of myself. This opportunity to produce and record your own CD was pretty awesome. Dad went with you because he's really interested in music and recording too. You recorded a song and brought it home on a CD that you were very proud of.

Basketball - Zoe

You had declared this to be your year of all-sports. You wanted to play soccer in the fall, basketball in winter, and softball in the spring. After the year, your plan was to pick the sport you liked best and focus on it.

Basketball was a big surprise to me. I couldn't easily picture how it would work with kids and those high nets. You loved it. It was so well-organized and fun. The coaching was great, and you really learned some basic moves and how to make a basket.

We celebrated the end of basketball season at our house. After a potluck, the kids spontaneously choreographed a cheer and dance.
